We use your data in compliance with the applicable data protection regulations. As a subsidiary of the SGS Germany Group, you can find our data protection information at https://www.sgs.com/en-de/privacy-at-sgs.

§ 1 Information about the collection of personal data
(1) Below, we provide information about the processing of personal data when using our website. Personal data is any data that can be related to you personally, e.g. name, address, email addresses, user behaviour. In doing so, we would like to inform you about our processing operations and at the same time comply with legal obligations, in particular those arising from the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
(2) The controller pursuant to Art. 4 (7) GDPR is
EFBe Prüftechnik- Entwicklungs- und Vertriebs-GmbH
Landabsatz 25 · 45731 Waltrop · Germany · +49 2309 78407-0 · info@efbe.de
(see our Imprint).
You can contact our data protection officer at the following email address: privacy.de@sgs.com.
(3) When you contact us by email or via a contact form, we will store the data you provide (your email address, your name and telephone number, if applicable) in order to answer your questions. We delete the data collected in this context – if the enquiry is assigned to a contract – after the contract term has expired. Otherwise, we delete the data collected after it is no longer necessary to store it, at the latest three years after the data was created at the end of the general limitation period, or restrict its processing if there are legal retention obligations.
(4) If we use contracted service providers for individual functions of our offer or wish to use your data for advertising purposes, we will always carefully select and monitor these service providers and inform you in detail about the respective processes below. We will also specify the criteria for the storage period.
§ 2 Your rights
(1) You have the following rights vis-à-vis a controller with regard to personal data concerning you:
• Right to information
• Right to rectification or erasure
• Right to restriction of processing
• Right to object to processing
• Right to data portability
• Right to object to advertising and withdraw consent.
(2) You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority about our processing of your personal data.
§ 3 Processing of personal data when visiting our website
When using the website for informational purposes, i.e. merely viewing it without registering and without otherwise providing us with information, we process the personal data that your browser transmits to our server. The data described below is technically necessary for us to display our website to you and to ensure stability and security, and must therefore be processed by us (legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR):
• IP address
• Date and time of the request
• Time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
• Content of the request (page visited)
• Access status/HTTP status code
• Amount of data transferred in each case
• Previously visited page
• Browser
• Operating system
• Language and version of the browser software.
§ 4 Disclosure of data
Your personal data listed above will not be disclosed to third parties.
§ 5 Cookies and analysis tool
This website does not use cookies or web analysis services.
§ 6 Social media
We take the current discussion about data protection in social networks very seriously. It is currently not legally clear whether and to what extent all networks offer their services in accordance with European data protection regulations. We therefore expressly point out that services we use, such as Facebook and LinkedIn, store their users’ data (e.g. personal information, IP address) in accordance with their own data usage guidelines and use it for business purposes. We have no influence on the collection of data and its further use by social networks. We therefore have no knowledge of the extent to which, where and for how long the data is stored, to what extent the networks comply with existing deletion obligations, what evaluations and links are made with the data and to whom the data is passed on.
§ 7 Protection of minors
Persons under the age of 18 should not transmit any personal data to us without the consent of their parents or legal guardians. We do not request personal data from children and young people. We do not knowingly collect such data and do not pass it on to third parties.
§ 8 Objection or revocation of the processing of your data
(1) If you have given your consent to the processing of your data, you can revoke this at any time. Such revocation affects the permissibility of the processing of your personal data after you have notified us of your revocation. The permissibility of the processing of your data up to the point of your revocation remains unaffected.
(2) Insofar as we base the processing of your personal data on the balancing of interests, you may object to the processing. This is the case if the processing is not necessary in particular for the fulfilment of a contract with you, which is presented by us in the following description of the functions. When exercising such an objection, we ask you to explain the reasons why we should not process your personal data as we have done. We will then review the situation and either adjust or discontinue the data processing or explain to you our compelling legitimate grounds for continuing the processing.
(3) You can, of course, object to the processing of your personal data for advertising and data analysis purposes at any time. The best way to exercise your right to object to advertising is to contact us using the contact details provided above.
§ 9 Data security
When you visit our website, we use the widely used SSL (Secure Socket Layer) procedure in conjunction with the highest level of encryption supported by your browser. This is usually 256-bit encryption. If your browser does not support 256-bit encryption, we use 128-bit v3 technology instead. You can tell whether an individual page of our website is being transmitted in encrypted form by the closed display of the key or lock symbol in the status bar of your browser. We also use appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction or unauthorised access by third parties. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.
§ 10 Links to other websites
We link to websites of other providers (third parties) that are not affiliated with us. When you click on these links, we no longer have any influence on what data is collected and used by these providers (third parties). For more detailed information on data collection and use, please refer to the privacy policy of the respective provider (third party). We accept no responsibility for the collection and processing of data by third parties. You can recognise third-party websites by the fact that they always open in a new tab in your browser.
